Rules of Preparation of Papers Submitted in English (for foreign autors, except the authors from the CIS countries)
(see p. 11)

1. The material of a paper must correspond to the profile of the Journal, be written with maximum brevity and clearly. The paper must contain the sections “Introduction”, “Experimental (Calculation)”, “Discussion of the results”, “Conclusion”, etc.

2. The size of the paper (including an abstract and keywords, references, tables, legends to figures, notes and foot-notes) must not exceed 12 pages; for brief communication, 5 pages (Times type, or analogous 12 pt symbol size; 1.5 spacing), the number of figures must be not more than 3-4 and 1-2, respectively.

All materials including figures must be presented in the printed form, printed with a laser, jet or matrix printer in duplicate (the A4 sheet size). The manuscript should be accompanied by files on a diskette of a standard size . One may send the electronic version to the address: jas@dragon.bas-net.by. The text file should be that of the Microsoft Word (any version); only complicated formulae should be type in the Equation Editor. Figures must be presented as separate file(s) (do not insert them into Word Document!) with one of the following formats: wmf, tif, pcx, bmp, jpg, cdr (300 dpi or more).

3. In the beginning of the article (after its title, the authors' surnames  (the surname of the author to whom correspondence should be addressed is marked by an asterisk), the title and address of the institution) the data of submittion of the article (month, year) is indicated. This date will be retained in the case of observance of the established period of revising the article by the authors (as long as 2 months).

4. "Consent to publish" (see below) should be attached to the paper.

5. Materials reported at conferences, which is marked by a foot-note on the first page of the article, are published on the general grounds (with an obligatory reviewing).

6. The Editorial Board reserve the right to make editorial changes which do not distort the main subject of the article.

7. After publishing the article, the pdf-file is sent the address of the author.

8. Setting up of formulas and grafic symbols.
 Greek and English letters, mathematical symbols (sin, lg, '), symbols of chemical elements (Cl, NaCl, I), numerals (Roman and Arabic), vectors and indexes (superscript, subscript), which are abbreviations of word, are printed in non-sloping (Roman) type. Latin letters — variables, symbols of physical quantities (including indexes) — are printed in Italic (sloping) type.  Vectors (without arrows above) as well as words and numerals, which are to be marked off, are printed in Bold type. One must differentiate n, h, and u; g and q; a, a, and d; e and l; x and c; I and J; the upper case letter O, the lower case letter o, and zero 0; etc. The necessary explanations of letters and symbols, and of other features of the text as well as the site of tables and figures are given in the margins.

9. Preparation of tables.

Every table must be typed in double spacing, have a title and headings of all the columns (in single number and nominative case). Tables and legends for figures are appended at the end of the article.

10. Presenting of references.

References are presented in the language of the source. After the authors' names the following data are given:

a) For journal articles, the journal title with accepted abbreviations, volume, number (in case of necessity), year (in parentheses), first and final pages: N. N. Ivanov. Zh. Prikl. Spektrosk., 49 (1988) 359-367.

b) For monographs, the complete title of the monograph, the place of publication, publishing house, the year of publication (in parentheses) and pages of a reference (for an article in a book). In the text references are denoted by ordinal numbers in brackets ([2], [3-5]) taking into account the disposition of tables and figures.

11. Articles presented with a violation of the above-listed Rules are not accepted for consideration.

Consent to Publish

The Author confirms:

· that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis);

· that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere;

· that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any;

· that its publication has been approved (tacitly or explicitly) by the responsible authorities at the institution where the work is carried out.

The Author agrees to publication in the Journal indicated below and also to publication of the article in English by Springer in Springer’s corresponding English-language journal.

The copyright to the English-language article is transferred to Springer effective if and when the article is accepted for publication. The author warrants that his/her contribution is original and that he/she has full power to make this grant. The author signs for and accepts responsibility for releasing this material on behalf of any and all co-authors. The copyright transfer covers the exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the article, including reprints, translations, photographic reproductions, microform, electronic form (offline, online) or any other reproductions of similar nature.

After submission of the agreement signed by the corresponding author, changes of authorship or in the order of the authors listed will not be accepted by Springer.
