Research Activities:

– Development of gas-discharge quasi-stationary high-current plasma accelerators (plasma guns) as well as erosive plasma-dynamic systems including those operating at atmospheric pressure

– Physical processes (formation, acceleration, and compression of plasma flows; macroparticles acceleration by plasma flows) in quasi-stationary plasma accelerators and the ways of plasma flow parameters control

– Interaction of compression plasma flows with different materials (metals, semiconductors, powder coatings, etc.), modification of their structure and properties, synthesis of regular nano-scale surface formations and deposition of nanostructured coatings

– Development of optical interference-shadowgraph methods for diagnostics of plasma flows and their interaction with surface

– Numerical simulation of the processes mentioned.
