Erosive plasmadynamic system for compression plasma flows generation in dense gases

C0 = 2400 - 4800 mF;

U0 = (2 - 5) kV;

W0 — up to 60 kJ

Experimental setup

Discharge device

Composition of erosive compression plasma flow is determined by material of the inner electrode.

Plasma parameters in the air at atmospheric pressure:

discharge duration              — 150 - 300 msec;

peak current                        — 70 - 200 kA;

plasma velocity          — (2 - 5) x 106 cm/sec;

electron density          — 1017 - 1018 cm-3;

plasma temperature  — 2 - 4 eV
